My journey didn't start in a classroom, it began in the deepest darkness imaginable. In 2019, tragedy struck: my partner died by suicide, leaving me, a 23-year-old grad student, to raise our 1.5-year-old daughter alone. I walked through the world numb, crippled by anxiety and depression. Flashbacks haunted me, and I cried myself to sleep most nights. I was a shell, and despite trying everything – therapy 2x a week, CBT, EMDR – nothing shifted. My symptoms remained stubbornly the same. I desperately needed help, not just for myself, but for my daughter, who deserved a present parent.
While I struggled personally, I also witnessed countless clients facing similar battles, seeing little progress with the methods we were taught. As a therapist seeing over 30 clients a week wrestling with severe anxiety, I knew there had to be a better way.
The turning point came when my best friend introduced me to energy work.
